To celebrate the waterfalls of the region, and to encourage people to get out and explore all the region has to offer, Dig The Falls has created an accompanying Regional Waterfall Challenge!
The Finger Lakes Waterfall Challenge works as follows: Participants must visit any 35 of the waterfalls included in this guide. This can include multiple waterfalls from one state park or location. Then email the selfies, names of all finishers, and an address for shipping, to fingerlakeswaterfalls@gmail.com
We do ask for a selfie while standing next to any five of the seven State Park signs to be sent in via email or Facebook. The challenge begins when you get your guide.
Please be sure to check with state and local parks for current costs of admission/entry fees and hours of operation. Some parks ask for a small donation upon entry and some locations/trails are subject to seasonality and close during certain times of the year.
Information can be fluid. Websites have been included for each location, where possible, in order to avoid potentially incorrect information from unforeseen changes.
